Children are welcome at Colonial Hills United Methodist Church. We look for ways to help children know we love them and that they are important to God and the life of our church.
“Rock Solid: Building a Heart of Faith” gives children a blueprint for Christ-like living and the tools they need to begin a faith-building journey that will last a lifetime.
Rock Solid begins in the Worship Center at 9:40 a.m. with “Construction Zone.” This time of celebration includes puppets, music and surprises - all to help introduce the Sunday school lesson for the day.
Children join their teachers in the Worship Center during Construction Zone then move to their rooms in the Education Building at 10:00 a.m.
3-year-olds- Pre-Kinder: Room #1.
Kindergarten & 1st grade: Room #3.
2nd & 3rd grade: Room #20.

Early Christian Awareness (E.C.A.) is a Sunday school class for children ages 6 months- 36 months. It uses all of a child’s senses to explore the wonder of God’s world. E.C.A. meets in the nursery.
Wednesday Night Activities
CHILDCARE is available in the Education Building for children first grade and under.
TEAM J.C. is an acronym that stands for The Everlasting and Majestic Jesus Christ. TEAM J.C. is for 2nd- 5th graders, and friends are welcome! TEAM J.C. includes music, games, crafts, drama and missions. They meet Wednesdays from 6:30- 7:15 p.m. in the gym, Room #22 above the kitchen.
Other Activities
Can-Do is an opportunity for 2nd through 5th graders to put their faith into action! The group meets one Sunday a month from noon - 1:30 p.m. They have fun together while working on a project to help others.
Can-Do, Too! Younger children can serve others, too. After Children’s Time one Sunday of each month, three-year-olds through 1st graders will be invited to join us in the Hospitality Center to work on mission projects.
Other Opportunities
Acolytes— Children in 3rd grade and older have an opportunity to help serve during worship by being an acolyte. By bringing the light of Christ into the worship service and taking it out at the end of the service, acolytes remind us all that we, too, must take the light of Christ into the world.
