"Christmas in August"
Join us Sunday, August 29 for a special puppet show for all ages at 9:40 am in the Gym. We will celebrate Jesus' birth with a Christmas party. P.A.L.M.S. puppet team made up of youth from the Austin area will be here to present a special program called "The Light Before Christmas." There will be Christmas cookies, music, and more! Bring you Christmas joy and a friend and come for the celebration!
Following the 11:00 worship service there be a potluck luncheon in the Gym.
Special entertainment by the San Antonio Chordsmen.

Build begins September 10. It will continue on Fridays and Saturdayss through early October. This is our 11th year to participate. Volunteers may sign up. Contact Larry at 567-3711 for more information. |

Reading Group Begins New Book
Pastor Ron's Book Club is having a brief recess and will resume on Monday, August 16, at 7:00 p.m. This is open to anyone interested. You need not have participated in the previous reading and discussion in order to join the group for this new book.
The new book for discussion is Phoenix Affirmations by Eric Elnes. This book is available on Amazon.com should you wish to order it. You can purchase a used book for around $2-3 + $3.99 for shipping . If the church orders for you, the book will cost approximately $10, shipping included, if we purchase a sufficient number of books.
