We follow the tradition of "Be still and know that I am God." (Ps 46:10) We have a 20 minute period of silent prayer in which each member consents to the presence and action of God in their lives and lets go of thoughts as they arise. In addition to silent prayer we are reading together Cynthia Bourgeault's book, Centering Prayer and Inner Awakening. We just finished Thomas Keating's Open Heart, Open Mind. We welcome those new to centering prayer and those familiar with the discipline. We are an ecumenical group that meets Tuesdays 7:00 to 8:00 in the Hospitality Center.
